Two things: I agree with Jim@HiTek, that's why we have DirecTV. Our connection is the same no matter where we go. Second, the cable connection on the outside is for campground connections only. Don't confuse that with hooking up a remote satellite dish....cable companies use splitters, satellite companies use diplexers...Dennis
