cable operating dump valves

Has anyone used them, do they work OK, my valves are way under the body & at a funny angle & hard to operate.
  • I use a small low plastic collapsible stool to operate the valves or do other low down stuff having bad knees.
  • I had a TT like that. I took a pine 1x2x36, cut a notch in one end so it fit under the T handle. Worked great. I could use the same stick to push the handle back in.

  • I lube mine once a year,no problems. they should push ,pull with very little effort.
  • The most important thing to remember about cables is that they need to be supported to operate smoothly with a large diameter radius if you need a corner. If you only support the ends unless it is short and straight you'll not be happy with the results. You also need to make sure the valve it is controlling operates smoothly.
