When this was first rolled out for Semi's It mandated retrofitting approved Emissions equipment for engines of 500 hp or some such Many engines were 550 Hp and over and required two of the systems!
I posted about it long time ago now. BIL in Az now retired drove semis for a living with firm based in California. Each system at the time was about 25,000.00 if I remember correctly. Not only semis but I think it included all heavy equipment for road or not. From reading the article I suppose Mhs will now have to pull into the checking/weigh stations for an exhaust test. I suppose they might make you turn around if not approved. Mhs prior to 07 did not have the expensive DEF or any other emissions equipment, except the Fed mandated tune in 04, I think, of higher engine temp, ******** injector timing and lower compression.
NOTE* We have stupid edit program. I said less advanced or backwards advanced injector timing it might have been alright.
have we gone PC here too?
