Not sure if I mentioned it in this thread or another. The motor for the awning is on the front arm and we did have a situation where she didn't want to retract after a long weekend getaway. Turns out the tube end cap are newly modified because the old design would strip out the hole in the end cap. Old design had a round shaft with a single flat side. New design shaft has 2 flat sides and cap the same. Sold as an assembly for around $300! As it turned out carefree of Colorado has a 5 year warranty on the unit and I was lucky enough to find a local supplier who was willing to order it for me and let me replace it myself (labor not inc in warranty). 20 minutes to change assembly. I did have to "fudge" the delivery date a bit to keep it within warranty. They didn't require proof of delivery, just the serial number off the tag on inside of front awning arm at the bottom of it. Problem solved. Hope it works out for you. You're going to love the rig. Rides great. I would suggest getting an ext warranty for the driveline if its an option however, as repairs can be quite costly. Good Sam sells them. I used mine to cover my fan clutch otherwise it was going to be around $600. Some engine components like fuel injectors are covered for 50k. Fluid change - ALL- can run a few hundred. I did all mine at 9000 with synthetics and now don't have to worry about transmission or diff for quite a while.
