Hello Art and congrats on your purchase! We absolutely love our rig - same as yours. I don't have a problem as you described with the sound from the engine compartment. Maybe I'm just use to it. Your generator question already got answered, we experience the same delay. In regards to the awning - we usually have lights in the tube track so I don't set the awning for auto retract at all. The one time it was a real issue was during a trip to Michigan we experience straight line winds of over 60 mph - that was something new to us and quite the surprise! Luckily we were there for it so I scrambled to remove the lights, just in time, during the wind and rain and ferocious lightning storm and got the awning pulled in. Others were not so lucky - amazing how much damage occurred during that 10-15 minutes! We just don't get that here in the northeast too often.
The ceiling lights can actually be pulled right out of the hole in the ceiling. They have spring loaded retainers holding the assembly into the ceiling. And as mentioned the lens simply ( well, not so simply actually) unscrews with about a quarter to half turn from the assembly. I had to replace a couple of those bulbs - hot halogens! I'll be looking for some alternative led setups for those.
The wife and I were just talkin about our summer vacation this year the other night. We may possibly be heading for Yellowstone. I know there a quite a few owners of these rigs out that way. Maybe that would work for some? Probably looking around end of July or early August.
Best wishes with the new rig Art - hit us up for anything here!
