Hey Theo - how ya doin?!
I've had intentions to do the 5" (maybe 4 or 6 - gotta measure the hose) PVC under the rig trick for my waste hose but haven't gotten around to it. If you haven't seen it yet it's a matter of getting a length of PVC to go across the frame and glue on the connectors with screw on cap. I've seen this done and it's a great way to store it without having to fuss around too much. To allow drying, and ventilation, drill a bunch of holes down the length of it on the sides (no dripping while driving!). For now what I have is a few of the totes with lids. They're about 30"x18"x6" and I can get two 10' hoses and connectors in there. Drippage and stinkage contained. I store them in the compartment behind the generator. I leave my fresh water hoses hooked up with any connector with shutoffs. Run just one hose from the pole feeding both the feed and black flush. Filter in line after y to feed. Being careful not to turn shutoff incorrectly so as not to ingest any black tank backwash!
As for power - can't say I've had an issue. Is the clicking coming from the battery compartment under the stairs? There's at least one switching relay there - I think two though. Could be bad contacts? Some relays can be opened up and you can clean the contacts with a small file or fine emery paper. I would also clean all contacts on the batteries and the connectors on the relay. If the clicking is coming from the inverter compartment you'll have more investigating to do.
How about the battery power switch on the control panel too? Does it operate properly? If you run an extension cord directly off the inverter do you still have power issues? Is/are the inverter connections clean and tight?
There's a few for you to ponder. What else ya got?
