So far I've just fixed it all myself (2 ACs, fireplace, fridge solenoid) and it is a great coach, but I continue to be amazed at what they just didn't bother to look at or test.
if all that was missed that's a big difference compared to your ridiculous battery complaint
also what smart buyer in their right mind pays big bucks without trying all facets on a motorhome before buying??
I think the point is that the battery was the canary in the coalmine.
And why is the onus always put back on the buyer? Why isn't the onus put on the dealer and manufacturer? I can't remember testing my faucets at the dealer when I bought it. One because I had an obvious over confidence that they worked , 2 there was no water in the tanks, and 3 it was on the checklist I reviewed handed to me from the dealer by the guy that did the PDI. I trusted it. And I should have been able to trust it. I doubt the OP (or me for that matter) would ever make that mistake again. But the key point here is this; these things cost a lot of money and have issues from the manufacturer. The dealer is supposed to check the systems and make sure they work and the coach is ready to leave. Sure they check the boxes but in some cases I think that's all they do. I've been to enough dealerships to know, the dealers have ample time to do this correctly. Unfortunately work ethic - or lack thereof - gets in the way.
