Hmm. It all adds up? yup in your favor. At the end of the yr how much do you bring home? much, much more than I did, when I was still working. LOL. that's the other side I'm looking at, because on MY side there's nothing to look at. But hey, I understand how you feel.

Agree 100%. I understand the whole "overhead" thing of a S&B store, but a 10-15 fold markup is in no way justified. Keep in mind that the seller of that part, at $78, STILL made a profit.

Camping World is nice enough to sponsor this forum. In fact, Marcus Lemonis, CEO would come on and post responses to different aspects of his company. Then, it seems, he became a movie star and forgot about us little people. I've met him personally at several of their grand openings and found him to be sincere in his efforts to run this company. Unfortunately, it appears his 'message' has never really gotten through to those below him. Yes, the internet is always going to be cheaper on most things as there is little overhead. As long as you don't need whatever immediately you can get it cheaper on line. Of course you always run the risk of losing it to a porch pirate, but that's the subject of another post. Ava , tough tops out of Vancouver wa has better quality than original at I’m sure a much lower price. If you want absolutely the best fabric , in my opinion Stone Vos in Florida would be about the same cost but better than original. Don’t assume the original is the “best”
CW is giving you the std price , the online price is ..well .... online , or for those that know to ask the store to match their online price . While not very honest way to do business , it’s pretty much the normal for many companies . Camping world has many other issues that make them my absolute last choice. It’s just my opinion but I believe you’d do much better canceling your order and doing some further research.

Now, I paid $183, but as a business they most likely pay 1/2 that. So they were gonna get me for close to $530. The poor guy installing it at CW would have gotten his meager $12-20 an hr and it would have taken him 30 min to do the whole job (not 45 like me with no experience.) Well all I can say is in the end I saved Over $450. And CW...well they got the bird and a prayer that they go bankrupt real soon. LOL

I am not here to defend Camping World or any other business prices but as a business owner myself part of the reason for the high price you quoted is over head cost of the building and the many insurances we business owners have to have now just to keep our doors open, I am forced to carry a million dollar liability auto insurance policy on each of my 6 works vans so I can do work on HOA complex's here in Las Vegas cause of the new HOA insurance law as well as a 1 million dollar general liability for the business itself and don't get me started on Workmans comp insurance for the 21 employees I also have, heck I think I might pay more to the insurance companies than I do to IRS..


Now you know why so many business's left America to make there products over seas and still ship it back here at a lower price than making it here.
