Part of installing a UTB (Unified Tow Brake) is to install a charge line from the coach to the tow'd. I know, I have had this system on two coaches. I tow a Jeep (see my signature) and have never had a battery issue.
As for the instant jump start vs charger, the latter is better in any event since you will need to recharge the battery in any event and it is safer. Go back and read Brett Wolfe, he does this stuff for a living.
