Can make unscrewing black tank cap easier?

Question

Hi. We have a Sunseeker 3170, although I doubt my question is brand specific. It's getting harder for me to unscrew the cap on the black water tank. Is there anything I can spray or smear on the plastic that will make it easier but not make the cap so loose that it'll come off on its own (yuck!).

Have you tried silicone spray? I use it on the valve stems when they are in the 'out' position to keep them from sticking.

We use a replacement cap that has a built in handle making it much easier to get on/off.  Check any Rv supply.   well worth it...prob less than $10.

You can use a strap wrench:Most stores that sell tools will have them in stock. Prices range from $5.00 to $40.00.

Marine grade grease, just a little will work for a long time.
