West of the Rockies humidity is not an issue. Outside of the deserts, heat is not an issue. Houses and cars don't even have AC. There's no need for it.
Check out Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Washington State, BC, Vancouver, northern California.... All gorgeous places where you will not need AC, besides the aforementioned Colorado.
