The high prices we pay are due to one thing, and one thing only, supply and demand.
We are a very small (compared to the US) market with, as you found out, extremely limited inventory.
For $40k. you could have spent a LOT of time in the US shopping for a coach.
The importation is simple and straightforward, I’ve done it many times myself. It actually makes for a fun mini-vacation if you plan it out properly.
BTW, since YOU raised the point, how can the RIVA sticker say it complies with Canadian requirements without stating WHAT standard it meets?
