can't find power steering reservor or dip stick

Help- I have looked everywhere - read my books - opened all doors - and still can not find the power steering reservor or the dip stick to check my power steering fluid level.I have a 2003 Fleetwood Excursion 38' diesel pusher with a 330 hp Catapillar B3126 diesel. I have checked and found the oil, trans, hydraulic, for everything else. I feel so stupid !!!

  • Big, round, black with Nelson embossed on the dipstick.

Don't simply unscrew the cap or you will loose the dipstick in the tank (don't ask me how I know).

Turn counter-clockwise and then pull the cap up.
  • Like Lunch Surfer stated, you do not have power steering like automobiles, you have hydraulic steering that runs off the hydraulic system that runs the cooling fan as well as steering. Mine is a BIG black round canister with a screw on cap with a dipstick attached. I hope this helps, Bill
  • retiredhfd,

It may be the hydraulic system you have already found if it is in the engine bay. The hydraulic for you jacks and possibly for slides are usually in the front of the coach. I have one resevour that supplies power steering and my side mount radiator cooling fan drive. Mine is a c7 cat 350 hp. My jacks and slide reservoir is almost directly under my driver’s seat in forward most belly compartment
