I did not like towing with a dolly for a year, I can't imagine towing with a 24' trailer? That will be especially difficult to park, compared to a tow dolly. . .
Towing with a tow dolly means about 8 steps to hitch up, connect the safety chains, clamp down the tires and hook up the lights. Hitching up a trailer, then strapping that down to the trailer, then hooking up the lights, putting away the ramps, ect. will take longer, and more steps. Not to mention once you have the RV hooked up to the trailer, it will be something like 55' overall length, and will no longer fit in your site. With a tow dolly, at least you can more the dolly around by hand, and hook it up to the RV before pulling out in many sites.
Anyway it was so much easier to tow with my 99 Honda CRV and now my 2007 Edge. . . I installed a junkyard cruise control motor in the cars. The cable goes to the brake pedal arm, while the other end of the cable was attached to the floor. Then I applied vacuum from my gas engine motorhome, and when the brake lights came on, a solenoid applied vacuum to the brakes.
The baseplate was from Roadmaster, and I bought them at Camping World. I also have a tow shield, to protect the front of the car from rocks tossed up by the RV.
