To each his own----I have flat towed, used a dolly, and both an open and enclosed trailer......Past 15 years or so only a trailer. WHY?--Because you can't back up a flat towed or dollied vehicle. I have been all over the US and not once has a camp ground asked me to park the trailer somewhere else. Current set up is 70ft over all.....I take a lot of "stuff". But the pros and cons you have to decide....Many open trailer manufacturers make the drivers side fender removable so you can get out the door or put a board under the wheels for clearance. Problem solved.
