Carburetor Faceplate problem
Hi. We are currently rehabbing a 1978 Ford Midas class c rv.
My husband is replacing the carburetor. He is using the correct carburetor for the model and year, special ordered.
He put the space plate on and noticed a small gap showing where it sits on the motor. There is a picture attached. It appears that it is wider than it is supposed to be, whether due to age or some sort of occurrence.
We are wondering if anyone has any ideas as to how to safely fill this gap or whether this is even possible since it will leak gas otherwise.
Thanks.http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=357q51d&s=5
Sorry, I only seem to be able to attach a link from my mac.
