Cargo---luggage door help

My friend needs a cargo door for a 2002 Class A Winnebago Sightseer. Dealer wants about $800 for it.....He just needs the door not the whole side of his RV.....I tried to contact Colaws but they never get back. Anyone got a suggestion----Please, I don't need a 20 page list of junk yards----just a door. Thanks
  • Try Arizona RV Salvage in Phoenix. They have two tractor trailers full of doors and compartment hatches. $100-300. I actually am buying one there myself next week.

Forget their website to shop, you need to call them with dimensions of your door. "screw to screw" is how they measure them there. Photos of what you want with dimensions will help a lot as they have to pick through them.

  • Visone never got back to me but I 2 can get a new one for about $800 but they are to poor for that deal-----But I'll find one if I keep looking I think.....
  • I just talked to Visone salvage about a compartment door for my '01 National Tradewinds LTC and they wanted $1000 plus handling and shipping... OOPPss, but that's a bit much.. I'm sorry, but I can get a brand new one for about 1/2 that and probably get it fixed for less than that.
  • Was trying to avoid trying to contact 100s of salvage yards. Seems they don't have a national hotline like car and truck salvage yards.....I have contacted several to no avail.....according to Winnebago this door fits several years and several models and is over 10 years old you would think there would be one somewhere in a salvage yard. We will keep looking.........

Well Mr Canuck45 whats wrong is that it is GONE! Not there. I own a sheet metal shop and can fabricate something close but would really like to find one for a reasonable price.......I found a salvage unit in Baltimore but they want to sell the whole thing, not parts.

    First... It's iamcanuck45, not Mr Canuck45.
Check the internet for Rv Salvage Yards.

  • If you give us more info as to what is wrong with the door, maybe we can offer some suggestions on how to fix it. Just a thought.:@
  • No one else???? Colaw got back to me -- no help and the one above hasn't replied.....Got to be one of these in a junk yard somewhere. Winnebago part # is 140581-02-N21. Thanks

Also if you door is just damage on the face, you can take it apart and replace the damage part. Most are just screw or pop rivit and/or glue to foam.
