Unfortunately not. The couch on the left sits on a platform on the slide. The slide clears the floor by about 3/8 of an inch. As a precaution I screwed down the first row but really there is no chance it could catch as the carpet was higher. The laminate is 10mm thick and sits on a pad of 1/8 inch. The pad was laid anywhere the heating pads didn't cover which is also 1/8 thick. The laminate also has a thin padding on the back but because of the heating pads we needed to level it out. I shot the floor with my infrared thingy and it seems to make about an 8 to 10 degree difference on the floor. Not much.
