ummm, I don't think I would say we miss it but carpet and laminate are two different animals. Carpet is soft and comfortable on the feet and even if its cold "feels" warm. Assuming you don't have grease or mud on your feet its fairly tough and hides dirt well. We love the laminate floor but it shows everything and we are both ex-military neat freaks so yah its a little more upkeep. We do like the heated aspect of the laminate floor and find we are not pulling our feet up off the floor as much. We have had this motorhome for over 10 years and will probably have it for another 15 to 20 years so we will be crossing this bridge again. I doubt we would ever go back to carpet just because we both love the rich look of the wood. I know when we do go back to a stick house someday (hopefully not for awhile :) ) we will have laminate in whatever we choose.
