Don't know if it is the best but it works just fine for us. It's the Winegard GM2000 Carryout G2 model. It comes with 50 feet of cable(s). It needs 12V to power up initially and find the satellites automatically but then the power cable can be disconnected and stowed leaving only the signal cable attached. It's smaller than some of the older models.
We use it whenever our dome unit can't see thru the trees.
