We have a tailgater and love it. It gets a beautiful HD picture and will act as a DVR if we hook up a hard drive to the receiver. Ours was a refurbished bundle from Tweetys for $300.
I do like being able to put it out there on a 100 foot line for the best reception. There isn't much worry about theft where I go but they do make a window bracket that would let me secure it to the truck.
Ours works with Dish and while the pay as you go programming is more expensive a month, it is cheaper in the long run as we only use it for the summer months.
The best thing is no aiming. Just plug it in and let the receiver do the rest.
