Yes, I've experience tire problems, both before and after I had a spare and coachnet.

I will always carry an unmounted spare and a coachnet subscription.

Had Good Sam come out to change my tire while at a PA COE campground. Right front sidewall had a screw sticking out. Waited until the weekend was over and breaking camp when I call GS. A T/A center called to ask all the pertinent questions, I had a mounted spare but not sure of air pressure. Perfect timing for 11am check out, the service truck arrives. Driver is equipped to work on a semi not a motor home. Pulls out this huge bottle jack that won't fit under the axle. Ok, I raise the right front up with the leveling jacks, worker amazed! Looks in his tool box for a socket to fit the lugs, nope, nothing under an inch big, need a 15/16. Lend him my socket. Nope, no 1/2 drive ratchet either, this to I lend him. He did have this nice 5ft. long breaker bar though! Carried the spare under the bed, young worker helps me get it out of the rig, damn they are heavy! Mount the spare and mount the removed wheel onto the tire mount attached to the rear bumper (2000 Allegro). Nice kid felt embarrassed that the truck they sent him out in was so ill prepared to work on my motor home. It was in the mid 90's and humid so I still tipped him $20.

Was up in Georgia last weekend, and before leaving, couldn't decide whether to haul an extra unmounted 295/80. Put it in the cargo hold anyway. Up I 95, I heard a pop and looked to see my dump hose had come out and then I ran it over. Oh well.
Drove another 100 mi, but the coach was vibrating a little at speed. At the SC welcome center I inspected the coach for damage and found none less the lost dump hose. Decided to check tire temp with an IR thermometer, and discovered a 250 degree outside dual. all the others were around 140. Decided to chech the pressure on the duals, and discovered the inside one was blown out.
Called Coachnet, and tire guy pulled it off and mounted it there all manually. Had to use a blow tank and irons to mount it tho. Total time 1.5 hr. Cost $41 to mount an unmounted tire.
If I did not have a tire, it would have been plan B.
A TPMS would have caught it; the other dual would have given out eventally.
I will always carry a spare.

Well when you call for help. You tell them if you have a mounted or un mounted spare.
Hopefully the person on the other end is smart enough to send the right truck.

I have very low expectations for any roadside assistance. I carry an unmounted spare, so I would hope that the truck sent would have the equipment to mount the rubber to the rim. If not, I would need a tow to the nearest major town. Then I will have to sit around a few days while a new 22.5 tire is shipped. This will indeed be expensive. In short, I only anticipate roadside help to get me to a safe repair location for more help...probably at my expense. The problem with a blowout is that the damage can be much more extensive than just the tire. Wheel wells, cables, electrical, and siding can all be damaged. If it is a front tire, dropping to the pavement can damage the wheel.
I've been assisted by roadside assistance a few time. Always courteous, and careful, no complaints, but all you get is emergency assistance.

Carry a spare either mounted or unmounted

Mounted means that anyone roadside assistance dispatches should be able to get you going quickly. I have had roadside assistance in Tennessee be nothing more than a big huge guy with a hydraulic bottle jack and a big breaker bar. He probably could not have mounted my 19.5 without using starting fluid. On the road quickly as I let him use my Electric impact wrench.

Unmounted means that most people dispatched will be able to get you going. However in my case above I believe I would have been waiting for a better equipped roadside assistance person.

No spare means that roadside assistance will have to find someone to dispatch that has the size tire you need and that may take hours if you are in a remote area or on a back road.
Will the tire be the brand you prefer? Who knows.
Will the date code be recent? Who knows.
Will you be able to dicker on the price. Come on you know the answer to this one.
In addition you will have the joy of getting a tire that is not balanced when you start your journey again. I prefer balancing to the packs they throw in to balance but with the packs until you have gone some miles your rig will feel different

I dont even have any thing large enough to remove the lug nuts on my tow rig, I understand they torque those nuts to 475 foot pounds,

Used to carry an un mounted spare for years. Less weight than a mounted one.
Let road side service take care of it.

I did just this for years carried the spare in a vinyl bag that I had made for the spare latched to the roof of our bornfree class C. worked great, I never used it. but if I had a flat I had amatching tire to put on. I don,t call GS to slow ,on my insurance I pay ten bucks for road service, call the tow service pay the bill, and turn the bill in. never had a problem ,insurance lady says checks in the mail.

Depending on how good they are will make the difference. I have seen some road side tire changes where the wheel is shinier than the others when the tech was done.. LOL
