Keep in mind that propane is heavier than air and propane tank storage is vented downward if built to RVIA standards. Gasoline fumes are lighter than air and can find their way upward into the RV. The safest way to transport gasoline is outside on some sort of stable carrier. I.E. like the jerry can racks for Jeeps. Even most of the in bed transport tanks for pickups are no longer certified for gasoline transport. If you read the labels on those now, they are for diesel and the like only.
