Unless you can post a link to what you recall I would say your recollection is wrong. Those numbers would be harmful to a C-7. My C-7 Operators manual says change when 1100 gallons of fuel are burned. On a typical C-7 that will be "about" 7500 miles. The manual is a engine manual and does not specify what the application is. If you do other than what CAT recommends don't come badmouthing them if you have engine failure.
