Cat c7 oil pressure
What should the oil pressure be at on a cat c7 engine?

- 2005 c7 350 hp, at 1600 rpm in high gear, level surface, and warmed up, oil pressure is 38 pounds. Idle pressure is 20 pounds.
- The C7 in our 2004 Winnebago Journey runs about 49 psi at 65 mph and warmed up. It also runs at about 29 psi at warmed up idle. This engine has 65,500 miles on the odo and has been serviced per CAT recommended intervals.
- My c9 runs about 40-50 at 65 mph and 15-20 at idle after warmed up.
- no set pressure.Old rule of thumb is 10 psi per each 1000 rpm
- I'm interested in this one also on my 2006 C-7. Warmed up running at highway speed 40-42 psi, running, warmed up at a complete stop 16-20 psi,. Engine temp 190-195° on the road. Transmission temp 160-165° on the road. These are engine status readings on my Silverleaf Monitor.
