The problem is that some States are changing laws so often that it is hard to keep up. Texas just passed a law allowing open carry which makes them the 45th state to allow open carry. Some states allow open carry for all but some allow open carry ONLY if you have a conceal carry permit.
The Florida permit allows you to conceal carry in most states but some states only recognize the Florida permit if you are a resident of Florida.
Virginia used to recognize my Florida permit but they just recently changed that to exclude their recognition of other state carry permits.
Firearm laws are changing almost daily. In most cases, it is getting easier to conceal carry but since there is an election coming up, some governors have gone the other way, like Virginia.
Basically there is no easy answer for you since the laws are changing so fast.
