Ceiling Exhaust Fans

Have you ever left your ceiling exhaust fan running while doing down the road? We have vent covers, so know we can, but have never done so on purpose. This past trip I did so by accident and, the driveway to the campground was a dusty gravel road and I found out the floors were covered when I swept, as I do after each driving day. Do I need to worry about the slide out wheels being covered enough to scratch the tile? Not sure.

  • We leave the kitchen, with fan, or the bedroom vent open when the weather is warm but not hot as it helps air flow through the coach. Have not hasd an issue with excess dust or dirt so far but don't think we have had it ope on really dusty road yet.

It was truly done by accident. Not on purpose. Just wondering now, besides the dust I have already cleaned up, do I also need to worry about the slide out rollers being a mess and my tile floor to receive further damage from the full wall slide.

  • I have often driven with the vent covers open. We don't use the fan often, but the vents are often forgotten as we drive down the road. I have yet to have much dust or grime flow in.
