- GlennLeverExplorerI just did a ceiling fan project in our Motor Home.
We have low ceilings but the fan is over the bed. You do have to be careful when making the bed.
In the project I do talk about bracing and power supply.
I hope it helps. - Executive45Explorer IIIMine came with a ceiling fan, but it's in the bedroom over the bed. It's 12V but only four blades. It's on most of the time....Dennis
- Monaco_MontclaiExplorerI see a lot of 5th wheels have reg ceiling fans in theirs. Wow nice , nice camping now
- YC_1NomadHere are some listed where I bought my replacement.
I replaced mine and would do it again because it works great. It runs mostly 24/7. The light wiring would be heavy enough but you would have to make sure of your support. My rv has excellent support structure but still uses a square block of wood on the ceiling to spread the pressures out.
You could easily span a couple of ribs with a nicely built back plate. Some cabinet shop could turn out a piece of art. Be sure no slides will interfere with the blades when closed. - edatlantaExplorerI replaced the original 42" ceiling fan in my 5'er this past summer after it died. I replaced it with a 5 blade 52" fan from Lowes also. It is 120v and the light kit is 120v also. It works a lot better than the 42" original fan and I have plenty of height due to the high 5'er ceiling. Not only does it move a lot more air it is remote control so I don't have the chains hanging down and flopping around.
- RanduExplorerMy fan also 110 and went to Lowes and got a replacement when it died.
Light wiring is usually all 12 volt. - Old-BiscuitExplorer III

Nope....
Several high profile 5vrs have ceiling fans but they have blocking/supports built into ceiling for the fan.
The fans are 12V DC so using existing wiring from florescent light would work.....just don't think you would have much if any support.
Most florescent fixtures are just attached with couple screws.
It's not like there is a ceiling electrical box inside ceiling. - happy-2Exploreri just wonder if i removed one of the floresent lites and installed the fan in place of the lite would the rv roof support the fan and i could use the same wiring?
