ceiling fan install

"Is there anybody in there..." Great Pink Floyd line from a song, but I hope there is. On the clock here, so to speak. Item is Lasalle Bristol 42" Rv 12v ceiling fan going up. I figured that fishing the to new line was doable and my plan was in place. Going well and glanced at some wiring directions. Beside the horrible misspellings which made this hard to understand, the words seem to be repeated and just didn't make it to "proofreading" if you know what I mean.
Anyway, here is what I have Mod. 410TSDC42BNWH 42" RV 12v.
Switch has: (4) wire
RED (+12V) BLACK (OV) bottom
BLUE (M-) WHITE (M+) top

Motor has: (3) Wire
RED, WHITE, Yellow with Green Stripe
The wiring used is 18 Ga.
I have a spool of 16 ga. I am going to use up. It looks like a 4 wire run, but just checking to see if there are any "just did that yesterday." Or "Badda Bing just finished it my fan." Looking for the correct wire to wire...Thank you

  • Well, my friend, no one has responded so I'll try to help. Generally, the blue wire works the light but yours has no light. Looking at the directions for that model I can see where you'd be confused. I'd call the number given and ask them. The manual is usually translated from Chinese to English which is why a lot of it makes no sense. That said, the manual for that model makes no mention of the wiring you've described. They talk about the green wire, which is a ground wire but no yellow with green stripe. Also, you didn't mention if yours has a separate remote or if yours has the wall mounted multi-switch....Dennis
