CEL After Failed COSTCO fill + OBD II Scan

After a battery change the computer is going to re learn your driving habits , a few trips here and there will cure that. My CEL was on for one of my glow plugs and liked to come on whenever it felt like it . I tried
the three pump method and it went off. I changed all eight plugs and re set the computer with the scanner and all is well.
If you have a CEL and you repair and delete a code and are heading to a smog station, at least in California, be sure you go through at least 5 cycles before you go. In CA they plug into your OBD and see if you
erased any codes recently.5 cycles will usually do the trick or driving 100 miles. They failed my diesel and it was a hassle to get it passed even though I repaired it. The vehicle was flagged as a polluter.
