Yes, unless you drive for one of the larger companies. The larger Companies have so many trucks on the road they have a contract along the most traveled routes, and when they call they usually get bumped to the top of the list. While RV's may not be harder, there are less calls, and less RV's on the road. GS, or CN cannot compete with CR England, Swift, Schneider, Yellow, or some of the others. My guess would be that during the off season GS or CN rarely has calls. The big question is, is it cost effective for GS or CN to sign contracts for service when there is little to no traffic in that area, let alone calls?
If you are an independent, or smaller company, they either use the MyDAT App, ask on the CB, or look someone up that can do the work. The other side of the coin is, how often do you get a flat that is Road Hazard related, versus overloaded or under inflated?

Well, It just makes me feel better knowing I have 2 ERS providers instead of counting on Good Sam. It seems they have a pretty bad reputation.

I have Good Sam and Progressive Roadside Assistance. Progressive is ony $27.00 for 6months on my MH insurance policy. If one fails I have a back up

For the OP to be stuck just outside of a major metropolitan area like Tucson is absurd. If you pay for a service with the word "Emergency" in the title it should be available in a timely manner whenever you need it. :R

I agree but the reality of the human experience is there will be failures. That's what scares me about flying, nuclear power, fracking, driving, eating at a restaurant, ebola, etc. Murphy's law is a constant force.

More and more I prefer to just carry cash.
Spare tire is a good idea too even if unmounted.

I have a spare tire on my toy hauler and I carry my own bottle jack so I don't have to rely on anyone else. Don't MH's carry spare tires? Seems ludicrous to travel the country without a spare tire.
