changing air fryer in freightliner
I have bought the air dryer kit from freightliner. How big of a job is it to change this thing? I have never changed it myself. Where can I find some good instructions? thanks Ken Tenpenny

I don't know the answer. Most filters are self explanatory or the replacement comes with instructions.
When I couldn't buy a new filter for my Midland air dryer, I replaced the whole thing with a Bendix. I took this 10 year old Midland apart and found the filter looked almost brand new. Since the Bendix was made for use on garbage trucks that stop every 20 feet, and the recommended filter change cycle is something like once a year, I'm figuring my filter should last 20 years or more on my coach. In short, I'm never going to worry about it.
In the case of the Midland, the bolts around the top edge are removed and the top removed. The filter pulls out, like an air filter on your engine. In the case of the Bendix, the canister gets replaced, like a big oil filter. You just turn it counter clock wise and it unscrews.
