Changing units.
I'm quite happy with my '89 Coachmen Horizon on a GMC Vandura chassis. I've never done anything with the water system as I haven't put a sewage dump into my sewer line and, mainly, the shower is 4 feet tall. I'm 6 foot. The problem is the lady friend. She wants a usable shower. I have the choice of changing motorhomes or lady friends. They are both keepers but she puts up with my foibles so I plan to make her happy.
My current unit is a class B and is 18 1/2 feet long and 76 inches wide. It's snug inside but comfortable. Granted, I'm 6 inches longer than the bed but if I sleep at an angle, I fit. The biggest issue is the roof. It's tall in the front and in back, where the shower is, it's about the same as a conversion van without a raised roof. Outside of the plumbing, everything works. She has said she'd be happy with a conversion van and just get a hotel. Are there any class B's with the raised roof in back that are reasonable? I mainly want to have a roof a/c and furnace. Since getting my B, I've had my power knocked out twice by storms and I can sleep out there with a generator running quite comfortable.
