If everything is dandy when plugged into the electrical grid, it's very hard to not see this as a genny problem. Any chance you could order a charge wizard pendant to be delivered somewhere along your travels? The pendant would give you the means to force the converter to run at a lower charge rate.
Everything does run perfectly when on the grid but generator(s) also run perfectly when not attempting to recharge batteries and yes, they work perfectly in parallel and handle the air conditioner quite nicely, something they couldn't do if they weren't performing effectively in parallel. This is a charging problem and occurs even when both generators are running at full performance. I think the answer may be the pendant. I'm surprised they didn't include a button on the 9280c itself, using the pendant just as a convenience. I checked with a very well stocked RV parts department up here in Langley, BC but all he could provide was the proper part number. I'd need to wait a week if they ordered it and unfortunately, I'm moving on tomorrow.
I have neither skills nor equipment for fancy electrical testing.
In the meantime, I'll just recharge frequently in order to avoid the problem.
THANKS AGAIN ALL!
