chassis year 2003; rv/coach 2006

I'm looking at another RV now... It's being sold as a 2006 but the VIN is a 2003. F350 Super Duty. I have seen and understand 1 year difference but 3 years... What do you guys think?
  • 3 yr chassis / coach difference on a rental tells me it was a remount. Means something happened to the coach that required replacement (major
Leak, low clearance damage, fire etc) but the chassis was still I good condition.

    What is the make?

Sorry for not giving more information when asking for help.

Four Winds 23A. Ex cruise canada rental, had 2nd owner after that. I'm paying 18.5k plus taxes. This includes the dealer getting a 3rd party coach and engine inspection and making good on the problems.

I didnt think it was an outstanding deal but that it was fair given the external inspections. As a newbie, these are important to me. Would this 3 year difference change things?

Call Ford on Monday with the VIN and ask for production date OR look on the GVWR sticker.

Personally, I would prefer not to have a chassis that had been sitting out in the weather for 2 or more years. Would not categorically rule it out, but would discount it's value to me.

Thanks - I will ask the dealer to email a photo of the GVWR sticker. I assume the later the date on that sticker the better?

I believe they allow RVs to sold as the year sold or up to three years newer then what they are?
I know I would negotiate by the chassis year that's the part that maters if if has the v10 I believe they fixed the sparkplug problem by 06 or at lest improved it? Others that have the v 10 will know more then me. I went with a diesel engine. On the trucks you have to pull the cab to fix !

    The engine is a 2003 5.4L V8 SOHC 16V
