I haven't ever heard of anyone installing the Z brackets on the front bottom. I don't want to add doom and gloom but that seems a little risky. If you have popping I would identify the root cause of that and not modify the design to attempt to cover it up. Might be a recipe for failure. But that's me. You'll notice, each place there is a Z bracket there are 2 bolts to secure the connection. If you add it to the bottom you can't do that. Because it's not designed to go there. Not to mention it would add another point of flex which may erode any advantage you had of doing chf in the first place. Good luck.
I guess I just don't understand your concern. Mounting Z brackets on the front bottom would be exactly like they are mounted on the rear bottom. Using the existing link bolt and the extra hole in the sway bar. you can see the hole in the first picture. How is the front and rear different?
I don't think the extra hole in the bottom is for a Z bracket. I think it's simply to move the adjustment. I have never seen it done. Seems like if it was supposed to be there it would already be there. Not saying it can't be done I have just have never seen or heard about it and wondering if there is any benefit to doing it versus risk.
Read my response at the top of page 3. I guess we were typing at the same time.
Ok. Again, never said it couldn't be, I have just never seen it. I see what you are saying, and if it fits then seems like it would add integrity to the link as opposed to taking it away like I said in my original comment. As far as where to source the bracket, seems like it could be ordered from Ford or a dealer. But I have no idea. Curious to see how it goes. Thanks for the info. I learned something today.
