Chinook, or ??

We are thinking of a chinook to replace our class a.....are there any other b+ vans you would recommend?....is gulf stream in the same ballpark? They have a 23 ft model I believe....we are trying to stay below 25'ft.....like the coachouse 23 but it would be an even trade for our hard to beat 40 ft Foretravel........other advice?

  • Some of the concourse models were offered with permanent rear bed floor plan and these had the side entry. Mine you that this is a 1997 model and 21footer not the newer glacier or summit series. Majority of them come with the ford 6.8 v10 tritons which is more then enough to packup and tow a toad.
  • I saw on the Chinook website there was some kind of 'new owner' activity and talk of moving into a former RV plant in Junction City Oregon. Haven't tracked down the actual reality though.
  • Was it modified? I thought the concourse has rear entry....was it a summit? Thanks for the info , we are hoping to switch from our 40 ft Foretravel to a chinook,,,, and any info now will help....particularly, what you chinook owners have to say.....dave
  • i just picked up a chinook concourse with a side entry and permanent bed and couldn't be happier. Quality is still top notch.
  • there's a raft of 23' range B+ with a small bed slide that all look very intriguing.

We love our Trail Lite 23' but wish it had the bed slide. The size RV is so handy to drive/park and is ample room for us retired geezer fans.
  • Lazy Daze makes two 24 foot floor plans. www.lazydaze.com
  • Chinooks were hard to beat in their day. But everything is dated by now.
