The fuel pump relay provides initial pressure to start the engine. Then the oil pressure switch activates the fuel pump.
Igntion is controlled by crankshaft and camshaft positon sensor.
The fuel pump relay is inside the doghouse opposite side of wall from gas pedal. You should be able to hear the relay click off after a couple seconds after the igntion is turned to the on position.
Look closely at the oil prassure gauge for oil leakage or loose connection. It is located along left side of engine just above the pan line toward the front of the engine.
