Class A 1996 Chevrolet 454 engine starting problem

I have continuing problem on starting 1996 Chevrolet 454 engine. Problem appears to be ignition, no spark from coil. It will start sometimes, run fine, shut it off and try to start later and it won'...

This may sounds to simple but had same problem with my Suburban.What I found was corrosion had built up between battery and face of battery cable.Wirebrushed all connections and haven't had a problem since
