Class A Fire

Here's an older video of a Class A Fire that shows why a working Pressure Relief Valve on our Propane Tanks is so very important.

You can start watching it at 5:20 as that's right around the time that the relief valve does it's job and vents the tank before it explodes.

A Propane Relief Valve doing It's Job!
  • sure took his sweet time getting the pump on the truck into gear.
  • Pretty nice view in the landscape behind the coach..... I'm guessing he had pulled a good sized hill and got something too hot. Yeah, those firefighters seemed pretty un-phased by the flames exploding/shooting off the coach. I couldn't tell if it was gas or diesel. If gas, are they not afraid of the tank exploding?
  • From the forward location of the fire at the start of the video, I'd guess an engine fire was the likely cause.
  • That fire crew looked clueless and dangerous. I am not a fireman so maybe I am wrong but I not be hanging around forever by that flame thrower :)
