In many states your insurance pays for windshield replacements at no cost to you. If the rubber gasket that fits between the window frame and glass is aged to a point where it has been weakened from the required strength to bind the glass to the frame it has to be replaced. The other cause could be the frame was damaged by an accident and is not shaped to take the glass and rubber binder as required for the tight fit. First check to see if insurance covers it, then call the glass company that serves your area and ask for an analysis of the situation from their experts.
