Class A or Class C?

You've not given us any information on which to base advice. How many people? How long will your trips be and what kinds of places would you like to stay? What is your budget? Have you ever driven anything larger than a car before? You need to give some thoughts to these things and give more info for people to base their responses on.

About all I can add is go for a quality rig despite the age.

You can't beat the view out of a 102" big screen windshield of a Class A. One of the main reasons we travel is for the ever changing views!

I really wanted the high view and massive windshield of an A. Kids and budget dictated a C.

Thank you everyone for your input. It will be for myself, my husband, our son (Big Rottweiler), and our daughter (cat). We will be traveling everywhere! Anywhere from week to months at a time. Would prefer 28' to fit in our driveway. Thanks again to everyone's help. :-)

Again, take your time. Look at everything that interests you, make sure the floor plan works.
Where will you put the litter box for your daughter? Sit at the table or dinette, also the couch. Can you see the TV without twisting your neck. Is there sufficient room in the shower and bathroom?
Closet space for your clothes, food storage, etc..

A Class C may be easier to find someone to service/repair the engine because it has a hood to make access easier.
We have a 96 Southwind, I like the Class A style and view while driving. But, I will consider C when I decide to get something newer.
Start looking and keep asking questions. :)

For that amount of use I would start at 36’+ which is a A with bigger everything. Not many 28’ A’s so if you make the mistake of going that small...a C will be a year or two option until you upgrade.

Currently in the A section there is a post on how long before you upgraded...learn from other’s mistakes, including mine. Modifying your driveway will be cheaper than trading.

If you're not going to live in it full time, I recommend a Class C. Even some Class Cs can be full-timer. You won't find much in the Class As that are 28 feet. That's Class C length.

Personally I find our Class C lives just as nice as an A and we have plenty of closet space for clothing for long trips. We don't want to spend part of our vacation at a laundry mat.

How limber are you? If you don't mind climbing up over the cab to go to bed, that will give you more floor space for daytime use.
