Would you please recommend a class A that is around $80,000 (new) and is comfortable to drive ? We are looking for something between 28 to 32 feet.
For that budget, you are looking at the low end, entry level of Class A gas rigs.
At that budget and length, you cannot get the better suspensions and heavier weights which make a really good riding class A.
You've also got to watch the wheelbase to overall length ratio, and how much of a rear overhang the unit has.
Not saying there are not units out there to meet your requirements. Just it will take some time to find one.
The only way you can tell - or rather your wife tell if she like the ride - is to go test drive some. Start with the nearest Winnebago/ Itasca dealer. Other units to look at are the Fleetwood Flair series, the Coachmen Pursuit, the Forest River FR-3 & smaller Georgetowns, the Thor A.C.E. line has a lot of unhappy customers - though I'm seeing some newer models that folks are happy about. Also the Thor Windsport line.
Most of these will be on the Fort F53 chassis.
Thor has a line of 24-25 ft class A they call a RUV - the Axis and the Vegas. Those are a Ford E-350 chassis, so it might have near the same ride as you have now.
Also be aware that she will be sitting about four feet higher, and at least one foot closer to the shoulder of the road. Some folks find that position uncomfortable. Make sure she test drives a bit with the seller rep, so she gets a better understanding of what to look for.
