I think you're forgetting that many RV travelers do so with kids and pets. That B might work perfect for you and your wife, but add a kid or a pet or two and it's now too small.
In addition, what happens when one of you wants to kick back at camp for the day and the other wants to go out shopping? With a towable or a large RV and a toad, you can take the vehicle off shopping while your spouse can stay "home" and do whatever. Or it's raining and your spouse wants to take a long nap and you're stuck sitting there for 3 hours because there isn't enough room to move around or you'll make too much noise.
I love my small class C, but it isn't the perfect solution. There are times I see the benefits of a larger RV.
