Class B for 3?

More thoughts on possibly downsizing from an A to a B. But what we like about our A is the various sleeping arrangements. Tough to find many in the B market that offer true sleeping for 3. We are 2 adults and one teenager. Really like the Travato 59G but the one thing that rubs me about that floorplan is the lack of a rear couch. The bed is nice, but that's all it is. But what the 59g does offer is a more of an extra real bed in the front. If this had a convertible sofa in the rear it would be a true winner. Are there class b floorplans out there that truly support 2 separate comfortable beds and the rear couch (even if it's a jackknife)? Do models exist with a drop down bunk? Just looking for any options that support what we need. Unfortunately I am new to the B market and my searches yield spotty results.

Yeah I don't believe you will be saving any money. I had the very same problems. I solved my problems by going to a small 5th wheel. I have a 24ft fifth wheel it is very nimble can attach it to the truck in minutes can go just about anyplace. Then when I get to my destination disconnect and have my truck to see the sights. I get about 15 pulling then when I disconnect I get 20 sight seeing. It worked for me. When I finally figured it out I wished I had done it years ago.

Can't really go to a TT as I will have the same storage issues. One of reasons we chose a MH was to be able to use all the amenities it offers while travelling (bathroom, frigde, Micowave, etc) all while going down the road. I need the same thing only in a smaller package. I'd look at b+'s or a small C but the ride on those is rough and they all have the same "I'm an RV!" flair with graphics packages that won't allow me to fly under the radar with the HOA.

You certainly seem to be on the horns of a dalima I have seen some very nice Mercedes Bs but your talking big $$$$ there. Guess it's the old adage nothing that money couldn't solve. But its
always fun to try and figure things out.

I switched from a C to a B many years ago. I was on a budget and wanted better gas millage. So I gave up room for millage. I did lose a lot of room but I didn't gain anything in gas millage. Those Bs are very tight quarters and very bad on millage. Or at least mine was. I got 9 to 10 miles to the gallon. I was getting 9 to 10 on my C. It was very disappointing to say the least. So b careful (pardon the pun) If you think the millage is going to be better it won't. Or at least mine wasn't.

Thanks for the work of caution. The newer ones tout 20-22 MPG for the dodge or the Mercedes diesel. Are these numbers inflated?

Not really looking for huge savings on gas per se. What we want is a more nimble RV. We used to vacation a lot in our class A mostly to the beach. Well now that we moved to the beach what we really need is something more nimble to make weekend trips back to MD from NC. Also, I used to park my class A at my house in MD. Can't do that at the new house in NC due to the HOA. So we don't want to quit Rving but we don't really take long vacations like we used to so now our focus has shifted to more of a nimble rv. A Class b seems to offer what we are looking for to make weekend trips back to MD much easier and faster as well as not having to pay for storage. Seems like I could also use it more for daily trips. But while we know we will sacrifice space, we still need 2 decent beds. Funny thing is it looks like I won't be saving any money going to a smaller rv.

Checkout Sportsmobile - they will make what you want, and they have drop down bunks.

Thanks, I'll check them out. I should have mentioned I am on a budget so likely looking at a used unit. Want to be in the <$50k range, which is going to be really tough from the searches I have done so far. I am finding B's are really expensive. Especially with our criteria.
