When we bought our RV I noticed snap buttons approx. every 24 inches along the lower edge of the RV even around the chassis. When I asked about them I was told that there dad had installed them for a heavy curtain that was in sections he would snap on all around the bottom of the RV so when he parked in cold weather he would put a electric heater underneath the RV to keep anything from freezing and keep the floor warm. If we ever decide to winter camp going to have a set of " curtain" made.
