I forget what they're called but now there are awnings that offer shade but can also be seen through a little. A mesh material, I suppose. That might be nice.
Window awnings mount very well into the laminted sides and they actually come with rivets as well so you can mount them on the aluminum sides with no problems.
I have put them on every unit we have owned, TT, FW & MH with no problems and do put them on the passenger side since we don't always open the big awning.
Carefree calls the material you are talking about "Full View". and that is what I have installed.
