We've been thinking about a window awning for the large street-side window over the dinette. Would be nice to be able to open it and have a way to keep out the rain. Tinting just wouldn't work...we love the daylight coming in. Having a window awning over the kitchen and bedroom window that are curb-side might be a good idea, too. DH doesn't like having the patio awning open if it's very windy, I have to agree...and there may be times we don't want the big awning when it gets a lot cooler (here in VA I think we could nearly camp year-round:)).
