Many times when you add the coverage to your auto policy you don't have the coverage's you need. The personal items in the RV typically are not covered under your auto policy, you would have to turn in a separate claim with a separate deductible on your homeowners policy. They also normally don't include liability coverage at your campsite, provide replacement cost or have your permanent attachments coverage covered with no depreciation. You might save money putting it on your auto policy but it may cost you money in the long run.
