If Ford wanted Transit to be a "Sprinter Killer" they should have built it to higher Axle and GVWR capacities than Sprinter. They didn't. It's easy to spot comparing Winnebago RV's on the two chassis. Transit, very sadly, comes up short. Desirable RV features are included with Sprinter and not available with Transit.
EDIT: And RAM Promaster comes up shorter still.
WRONG, you are correct is most class B Models being Sprinter. However, the ERA Class B has a DRY BATH wardrobe outside of DRY BATH Room and comes in a FORD TRANSIT. Check out the details on the website WinnebagoIND.com Winnebago IND
I went to Winnebago site and looked at small diesel Class C's which is the OP of this thread. Typed it all out and somehow it didn't post. Not going to try again especially on a phone, BUT!!!
Sprinter had longer coach, more wheelbase, better floorplan, higher GVWR and more towing than Transit.
Glanced at Class B ERA and didn't see it as offered on Transit, but my attention was on the Class C's.
